MINUTE RESOLUTION No. 11-0011
IN THE MATTER OF THE NUMBER OF PRECINCT COUNT OPTICAL SCAN (PCOS) MACHINES
TO BE DELIVERED TO THE COURTS WITH PENDING ELECTION PROTEST CASES
FOR AUTHENTICATION OF OFFICIAL BALLOTS USED IN CONNECTION WITH
THE MAY 10, 2010 AUTOMATED NATIONAL AND LOCAL
ELECTIONS; AND CORRESPONDING FEES THEREFOR

In order to address the issue of the numerous election protest cases pending before the different courts which necessitates the use of the PCOS Machines for the authentication of official ballots used in connection with the May 10, 2010 Automated National and Local Elections, the Commission RESOLVED, as it hereby RESOLVES, to adopt the following guidelines on the number of PCOS Machines to be delivered to the requesting courts, and the corresponding fees therefor:
- Number of PCOS to be delivered
- Fees
| 1. one (1) to five (5), election protest cases | three (3) PCOS Machines, inclusive of one (1) back-up PCOS |
| 2. six (6) to ten (10) election protest cases | plus another three (3) PCOS machines, inclusive of one (1) back-up PCOS |
Fees for the use of PCOS machines shall beat the rate of Five Thousand (P5,000.00) per PCOS, exclusive of the honorarium of PCOS Technicians and costs of accessories and consumables of the PCOS Machines.
The necessary guidelines on the delivery and production of PCOS Machines to the courts shall be subject of a separate resolution.
Let the Acting Executive Director implement this resolution.
