Technology has never infiltrated people’s lives as it seems to do today. The recognition of the use of the cyberspace as a new age information and communication tool has led the Commission to seek new ways to enhance and improve this website. What you’re seeing today is a testament of our commitment to actively involve our stakeholders, the Filipino nation, by providing a more accessible and interactive website.
No electoral system is free from any challenges and setbacks. With the recognition of the surging demands for a holistic electoral reform, the Commission has prepared and embarked on the implementation of the COMELEC Strategic Plan for 2011-2016 (COMSTRAT 1116). It is with this transformative framework that we intend to continue to fulfill our constitutional mandate of ensuring a free, orderly, honest, peaceful and credible election.
