OFFICE OF THE CLERK OF THE COMMISSION
Under the direction of the Chairman:
- Provide the following legal and technical services to the Commission whether sitting en banc or in its divisions on quasi-judicial cases, i.e. pre-proclamation, disqualification, annulment of list of voters, registration of political parties/citizens arms, failure of elections, etc.:
- Act as Clerk of the Commission in the hearing of quasi-judicial cases;
- Prepare drafts of orders, minutes and resolutions adopted thereat;
- Prepare rules of procedure governing the same;
- Coordinate with the office of the Solicitor General in the defense of cases where the Commission is named public respondent and for the purpose, provide said office with legal opinions, researches and studies relevant thereto;
- When authorized, inform concerned parties on matters or status of the cases;
- Exercise custody, maintenance and control of records of the Commission involving said cases; and
- Control and service the issuance of orders, minutes and resolutions adopted and certify true copies of said documents; and
- Act as Clerk of the Commission in the hearing of quasi-judicial cases;
- Perform other related functions.
