hen a person comes in to apply for registration, his/her biometrics will be captured digitally, that is, digital images of his/her photograph, fingerprints and signature will be taken/captured using COMELEC's Data Capture Machine (DCM).

Here are simple steps on how the procedure would basically go:

photograph capture

Just look at the camera lens until
after the flash appears.

fingerprint capture

The right and left thumbs and
index fingers will be scanned.

signature capture

Just sign on the signature pad as you
would sign on a piece of paper.

hen this screen appears on the Data Capture System (DCS), biometrics capture is complete.
