The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) announced today that they are set to hold a motorcade of motorcycles in Balut, Tondo to call on voters there to register.

COMELEC Spokesman James Jimenez said about thirty (30) bikers belonging to Tondo based ‘Alamid ng Maynila Motorcycle Riders Club’ headed by its President German Nuñez are set to take part in the activity. The Tondo bikers will be joined by the ‘COMELEC Riders Club’ in the motorcade.

“This activity is part of our efforts to mobilize the community for wider voter participation,” said Jimenez adding that the leaders in Zone 10’s five Barangays have committed to support the COMELEC in encouraging their constituents to register.

The COMELEC is currently conducting a series of satellite registrations in Manila’s Tondo District. On Saturday, the COMELEC is scheduled to register residents in Zone 10 of Tondo.
