The public is hereby notified that during the pre-bid conference held on January 8, 2007 relative to the above-stated public bidding, the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) ruled that:
- The total funding is PhP 312 million. Said amount merely reflects the correct cost of ballot paper because with an approved agency estimate of PhP 24,000 per ream, the total amount involved for the purchase of 12,994 reams of ballot paper is Php 311,856,000. Although the approved funding has been rounded-off to PhP 312 million, bidders are advised that their bids should not exceed the approved agency estimate of PhP 24,000 per ream.
- In view of the urgent requirement to deliver the ballot paper stock to the National Printing Office, the date of the public bidding is moved to an earlier date, i.e., January 20, 2007, at the same time and place originally indicated in the bid documents.
- Since there is a need to further secure the ballot paper, the specifications thereof will be amended to include additional security features. The new specifications, including the delivery schedule, will be released to prospective bidders in the form of a new Bidder’s Tender.
The public is further advised that the Terms, Conditions and Instructions to Bidders that have not been modified by this Bid Bulletin, and are not inconsistent herewith, shall remain in full force and effect.
