The Commission on Elections has put in place a Public Demonstration Coordination Unit (PDCU) that will receive and coordinate requests for public demos of Precinct Count Optical Scan (PCOS) machines for the May 10, 2010 fully automated elections.

COMELEC spokesman James Jimenez said the Public Demonstration Coordination Unit will be headed by Dir. Sonia P. Tiongson, Director III of the poll body's Education and Information Department.

"We want to bring the PCOS machines closer to the people," stated COMELEC spokesman James Jimenez, who is also the poll body's Project Management Office (PMO) Assistant Project Manager for Public Information.
