COMELEC tells student papers: Write about 2010 automated elections,
we’ll feature them in our blog
Date: 11 November 2009
The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Education and Information Department has told student writers and publications in the country that they can send their articles to the COMELEC so they may be featured in the poll body’s election information blog site.
“Send us your articles and we’ll feature them in our blog,” COMELEC spokesman and EID Director James Jimenez said.
Jimenez said student writers and papers can send them their articles on topics such as the recently concluded registration process, their expectations on the upcoming automated elections, and their opinion on prospective candidates, among others.
“We want to hear what the youth has to say on the upcoming automated elections in the country. As they will comprise the bulk of those who will be casting their ballots next year, the COMELEC believes their voices and views deserve to be heard,” he said.
Student writers and publications may send their articles thru email at eidcomelec@yahoo.com , said Jimenez. ###
