The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) announced today the resetting of the Synchronized Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections on the last Monday of October 2007.

With the passage of Republic Act 9340, amending Republic Act 9164, resetting the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections, all incumbent barangay and all sangguniang kabataan officials shall remain in office unless sooner removed for cause.
