This Monday, May 16, 2005, marks the start of the continuing registration nationwide except in the ARMM and 5th District of Cebu. The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is calling all first-time registrants to file their applications at the Office of the Election Officer in their respective city or municipality from Mondays to Fridays during regular office hours. They are requested to bring any identifying document with photograph and signature such as Driver’s License, Current Employee’s ID, Student’s ID, NBI or Police Clearance, Postal ID, SSS or GSIS ID, Senior Citizen’s ID, Passport or any authentic document which could show their identity. The continuing registration shall be until 31 December 2006.

Regions scheduled to resume the said registration on Monday, 16 May 2005 are NCR, CAR, Regions I, II, III, IV-A (composed of Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon and Rizal). Regions IV-B (composed of Marinduque, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan and Romblon) V and VI, will start on 13 June 2005 and for Regions VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII & CARAGA on July 11, 2005, instead of May 16, 2005.
