COMELEC to bring the PCOS machine to U-Belt, Manila residents

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) National Capital Region today announced that they will be holding a motorcade of vehicles around Manila’s University Belt and Sampaloc Area tomorrow, February 17, 2010.

The said motorcade, says COMELEC NCR Director Michael Dioneda, aims to raise awareness among the voters, especially among the youth and students, on the automated elections system.

Participating vehicles, he said, will assemble at 8:00 AM in front of the COMELEC Manila Office in Arroceros, Manila. The motorcade will end up at the Unibersidad de Manila (UdM) at 10:00 AM where a forum and demonstration of the Precinct Count Optical Scan (PCOS) Machines will be held. An expected 600 students and Manila residents are expected to participate in the forum.
