WHEREAS, in the interest of the free, orderly, honest, peaceful and credible conduct of the January 13, 2007 plebiscite to ratify the merger of Barangays Calabuso North and Calabuso South, Tagaytay City, into a single barangay to be known as Barangay Calabuso, the Commission on Elections finds it necessary to deputize law enforcement agencies and instrumentalities of government;

WHEREAS, under Section 2, (4) C, Article IX, of the Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines, such deputation requires the concurrence of the President of the Republic of the Philippines;

 NOW, THEREFORE, the Commission on Elections RESOLVED to request, as it hereby RESOLVES to request, the concurrence of the President of the Republic of the Philippines in the deputation of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM), in connection with the plebiscite, pursuant to Tagaytay City Resolution No. 2006-1577, Barangay Calabuso Sangguniang Barangay Kapasiyahan Blg. 2006-06, and Tagaytay City Resolution No. 96-540.

The Executive Director is hereby directed to furnish Her Excellency, the President of the Republic of the Philippines through the Honorable Executive Secretary, Malacañang Palace, a copy of this resolution.
